It’s my pleasure to welcome you to this exhibition, where I feel sure you will find much of interest. Everything you would expect to find at an exhibition is here – and more.
What you see, especially in the core layouts section, bears only a passing resemblance to that which was envisaged at the outset, in early December. The Covid restrictions have presented significant challenges. These have been overcome by going about things in alternative ways. So, I would like to thank most sincerely all those who have contributed to this show in any way. Without their determination there wouldn’t be an exhibition at all.
The idea of an international virtual exhibition followed a Zoom meeting, involving members in the UK and Australia, which took place last September on Scaleforum weekend. The Covid restrictions prevented us holding a real exhibition but opened fresh opportunities to use digital technology and create a virtual show. This has enabled us to assemble exhibits which could never be brought together in our usual shows. It is pleasing, therefore, to welcome exhibits – not only layouts – from overseas: from members in Australia and Canada, as well as from the UK which cannot be readily moved. None of the layouts here are currently on the UK exhibition circuit, though you may have heard of them elsewhere. Two of them no longer exist!
Without further delay, I encourage you to get your clicking fingers working to discover what your organising team have put together for your enjoyment.
Derek Mathers, Organiser.

Virtual Scalefour North International 2021 is a special virtual exhibition, which we will host permanently. In a more typical year, we host Scaleforum and Scalefour North. We present Scalefour Southwest as part of Railwells. Full details of all three shows are on the society website.
Virtual Scalefour North International 2021 is brought to you by Derek Mathers, David Brandreth, Bryan Johnson, John Donnelly, James Moorhouse, Alastair Ribbands and Stephen Crawshaw but, most importantly, by the members of the Scalefour Society without whose contributions this event would not have been possible…
